Plate number 643, in a edition limited to 15,000. Fine quality artwork - this is a very good plate indeed.

The central picture of this evocative bone china plate depicts the scene outside Buckingham Palace on VE day. This is surrounded by three other pictures, which represent the three services - five different aircraft for the RAF; an aircraft carrier and escort, with its associated aircraft for the Navy; tanks and an artillery battery for the Army. Around the rim of the plate are scrolls detailing the countries who fought as Allies in the war and a small sillouette of the king and queen. Gold rim.

The beautiful bone china plate depicts the attack of 617 squadron on the Mohne, Eder and Sorpe dams in WW2. Wing Commander Guy Gibson's aircraft is banking over the Mohne dam. Mick Martin's aircraft is in the centre of the picture, having just dropped the bomb which breached the dam. Gold rim.
