The plate depicts Spitfires from no III squadron RAF patrolling the Kent coastline. In the foreground, is the Mark 5B Spitfire, known as 'O Bandierante', which was presented by the people of Brazil in 1942 and was flown by Squadron leader H W Wickham, Gold rim.
