Circa 1770 - 1782. Thought to be a representation of James Quin playing Sir John Falstaff, this lovely figurine is handsomely dressed in ochre, blue, pink and gilded floral costume. He holds a shield in his left hand and a sword in his right. He stands on a flower strewn roccoco base.Height: 8.75" (22.2 cms). A Derby crown surmounts a cursive "D" mark on base. Professional restoration of scabbard.
