Pattern 94, introduced in the 1930s and withdrawn by the 1960s. This relief moulded jug depicts Mr Pickwick, Sam Weller, Tony Weller and the Fat Boy outside The White Hart Inn.

From the Shakespeare's portrait series, pattern number TC1041. Executed in English translucent China, this plate was introduced in 1967 and discontinued around 1975.

It depicts a polychrome bust of Shakespeare, with a church in the background, surrounded by many of his characters. Dark green border stripe.

Diameter: 10.5" (26.7 cms)

Royal Doulton Backstamp and "English Translucent China TC1041 Shakespeare" printed on reverse.
