This very large toby jug depicts Neptune, King of the sea, holding his trident in his left hand and a lobster in his right. He is surrounded by creatures of the deep. The handle is formed from a sea lion. Height: 9.75" (24.8 cms). Embossed "Shorter England", "L/S" and "Father Neptune" and printed "Staffordshire Hand Painted Shorter & Son Ltd England" marks on base.
