Circa 1919. A very beautiful and colourful pair of plates, depicting trailing vines with bunches of ripe purple grapes. Originally made as a special order for Mortlocks Limited of Orchard Street, London. Diameter: 7.75" (19.7 cms). Printed "Copeland Late Spode" mark and Mortlocks 'crown' mark. Impressed "Copeland with crown" and impressed "J23". Painted "6256" on base.
